  Creationists in general - not just JWs - claim that animals that have sharp teeth were strict vegetarians. The Panda is an example of the animals with sharp teeth they claim existed before the flood. Pandas live on a diet of bamboo yet they have sharp teeth. What they don't realize is that Pandas do scavenge meat when they run into a dead animal. They have been caught on video doing that.

  Then there are the ridiculous claim of many Creationists that the sharp teeth of dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex was used to eat palm trees.

  As for the rest of the predatory world they claim that it was Adam and Eve's sin that somehow ruined creation creating carnivory amongst animals and parasitism in other organisms.

  You're not being truthful. You read what I said above. 10,000 people heard it though most of them are either dead, not in the religion or totally forgot that absurdity. 1975 wasn't quite the end of the 6,000 years of man's existence because Freddy elaborated on the "Adam and Eve gap". Do you even know what that was?

  Fisherman, "Things can change in a snap."

  Nothing has changed in 137 years of false prophecies in a snap or otherwise. Religion if anything will grow as society becomes more impoverished. Religion thrives on misery and there will be plenty of misery yet to come. And no, that misery has nothing to do with what the Bible has to say about the end.

  That's a damn lie. I was there in 1974 and I heard a talk given to 10,000+ people in attendance by none other than Frederick Franz. He said that the end might happen within a few months or a few years after 1975 but not decades.

  One month researching my doubts: my crucial issues with WTBTS - what are yours?

  so after 20 years a convert, about a month ago i decided to start listening to my doubts and to do independent research about the wtbts teachings (naughty me).

  as a result i have consolidated my position on various points and these are my major issues with the wtbts teachings, i am posting these to help myself figure things out (with your assistance) and hopefully to hear from others at their stage of drawing away from the gb - newbies' especially.

  That's what got me out, not doctrine or dates. It is the psychology of these people that counts even if they had no change in doctrine; no doomsday predictions; no forced field service etc.

  im typing this while i'm sitting on the toilet in the kingdom hall to just skip a few seconds of the mumbling.

  they read a letter just now they have started to replace the kingdom melodies with the orchestral versions.

  all and all to make it look and sound better to the people outside.. id have to say though, that piano music sucks measuring up to church music.

  Yes there are some - not me - who speculate that the Witchtower might use that date but in view of all their falsified prophecies on specific dates can you blame them?
